צְהַר, ; trnsf. to be clear, to understand. Kidd. 39ᵃ לא צַהֲרִיתוּ you do not understand (the law) clearly; cmp. חֲוַר. Bets. 14ᵇ דהוה קלופיה צְהִיר טפי Ms. M. (ed., v. צִיהֲרָא) the peeled surface of the grain was very bright (white,—an indication that it was pounded immediately before it was cooked).
