צְהָלָה f. (preced.) 1) shouting, rejoicing. Num. R. s. 10 צַהֲלַת שמחת בית וכ׳ the joyful shouting at the dedication of the Temple &c.; Midr. Prov. to XXXI, 5, v. בְּלוּזְמָא. Ib. והיתה צ׳ ומשחקת וכ׳, read: והיתה צ׳ ושמחה ושמחת וכ׳ and there was shouting and joy (on account of the daughter of Pharaoh) and the rejoicing over the dedication &c.— 2) צהלת סוסים neighing of war-horses.
