פַּנְתֵּיר, (πάνθηρ) panther or leopard.—Pl. פַּנְתֵּירִין, פַּנְתֵּרִין. Midr. Till. to Ps. LXXVIII, 45 (expl. ערב ib.) מין חיה הוא ושמה פ׳ והביאן וכ׳ (not והביאו) it is a species of wild beasts named leopards, and the Lord sent them &c.; Yalk. ib. 820.
