פִּיסּוּק פִּיסּוּק, פִּסּ׳ m. (פָּסַק) 1) separation, interruption, pause. Zeb. 53ᵇ פ׳ ארבע מתנות Rashi a. Ms. R. (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 60; ed. וארבע) four separate manipulations (with pauses between them), v. מַתָּנָה; Yalk. Lev. 441. —2) פ׳ טַעֲמִים (or sub. טעמים; v. טַעַם) the division of words into clauses in accordance with the sense, punctuation. Ned. 37ᵃ שכר פ׳ (ט׳) remuneration for teaching the values of punctuation signs or accents, v. פֶּסֶק. —3) setting a price on fruits before they are harvested. Y. B. Mets. V, 10ᶜ bot. בפ׳ איתפלגון they differ as to permission to fix the price &c., opp. to מלוה. Ib. אבל בפונדק (corr. acc.). —4) פ׳ רַגְלַיִם spreading the feet.
