Nidd. 25ᵇ כשל ע׳ as thick as a thread of the woof; a. fr.—Trnsf. the latitudinal direction, opp. to שתי longitudinal direction. Sabb. 85ᵇ אם היו זרועין שתי זורען ע׳ if the beds (in a square) were planted lengthwise, he must plant (on the interspaces) crosswise. Ḥull. 109ᵇ קורעו שתי וע׳ he tears it (the udder) lengthwise and crosswise. Y. Ter.
