נָגְהָא, נַגְהָא m. (preced.) 1) light, morning. Dan. VI, 20.—Pl. נַגְהֵי. Pes. 2ᵃ קס"ד … נ׳ נ׳ ממש the first impression was that he who explained אוֹר (Mish. ib. I, 1) by naghé meant really light (morning). —2) (cmp. אוֹר) the breaking in of the night, the beginning of the calendar day, evening. Ib. 3ᵃ באתריה … קרו נ׳ וכ׳ in the home of R. H. they call the evening naghé (‘night-break’), while in the home of R. J. they call it lelé. Ib. 4ᵃ באורתא דתליסר נ׳ וכ׳ on the evening closing the thirteenth (day of Nisan) which is the beginning of the fourteenth. Men. 68ᵇ
