מְשֵׁי מְשֵׁי , מְשָׁא (cmp. מוּשׁ) 1) to feel, touch. Targ. O. Gen. XXVII, 22. —2) (with ידא) to rub, whence to wash and dry, esp. one’s hands before and after meals. Ber. 46ᵇ מְשִׁי ידך wash thy hands. Ḥull. 107ᵃ מְשׁוּ ידייכו וכ׳ wash your hands in the morning. Ib. 46ᵇ ולא מְשִׁית ידיך (not ידיה) and didst not wash thy hands.
