מַחֲסוֹמִית, (חָסַם II) polish, glaze. Tosef. Kel. B. Mets. I, 3 מַחֲסוֹמִיתו מן וכ׳ (some ed. חסומ׳; R. S. to Kel. XI, 4 חֲסִימָתוֹ, expl. the steel-edge of an axe) its glaze is of an unclean material.
