מַוֶּה I, (b. h.) = מַה זֶה, what is this? Tanḥ. Sh’moth 23 (ref. to Ex. IV, 2) מ׳ בידך מִזֶּה כתיב מִזֶּה וכ׳ ‘what is this in thy hand?’ It may be read mizzeh, out of that which is in thy hand thou deservest punishment.
