מוֹדַעַת, f. (b. h.; acquaintance; trnsf. (m.) friend. Y. Peah IV, beg. 18ᵃ שלא יראה לעני מוֹדַעְתּוֹ וכ׳ R. S. to Peah IV, 1 (ed. מֹדַעְתּוֹ) that he may not see a poor man who is his friend and cast it before him.
