כָּשׁוּת ², esp. cuscuta. Erub. 28ᵇ כ׳ נמי מארעא קא רבי וכ׳ cuscuta, too, draws its nourishment from the ground, for behold, as soon as you cut the shrub, the cuscuta on it dies. Sabb. 107ᵇ האי מאן דתלש כ׳ וכ׳ he who tears c. loose from the shrubs &c. Sabb. 139ᵃ כ׳ בכרמא עירבובא cuscuta in a vineyard is a forbidden mixture (v. כִּלְאַיִם). Ib. 109ᵇ bot. אוכליה כ׳ וכ׳ ordered him to eat c. with salt and to run &c. Gitt. 69ᵃ, v. חוּמַרְתָּא.—Ḥull. 47ᵇ דדמיא ככ׳ looking like c. (yellowish).—v. כָּשַׁרְתָּא.
