יָנִיבָא, (cmp. אִנְבָּא II) name of an insect in flax. Ḥull. 85ᵇ נפל ליה י׳ בכיתניה Ar. (ed. יאנ׳) the yaniba came into his flax crop. Ib. 28ᵃ בעי … לי׳ Ar. (ed. יניכא, corr. acc.) he needs its blood for killing the flax worm.
