XXV, 20 מְטַלְלִין (O. מַטְּלִין); a. fr.—Succ. 31ᵃ (a beam) דגזלה ומְטַלֵּל עלה Ms. M. (ed. דגזולה only) which one stole and put upon it the covering of the Succah, v. מְטַלַּלְתָּא.—Part. pass. מְטַלַּל, f. מְטַלְּלָא. B. Kam. 50ᵇ משום דמט׳ because the cave is roofed. Ib. דלא מְטַלְּלֵי which are uncovered.—Trnsf. to obscure. Sabb. 78ᵃ מסו ומְטַלְּלֵי they heal (the eye-sore) but dim the eye-sight.
