חָכִיר, חָכוּר m. (חָכַר) 1) tenant on a fixed rent payable in kind, v. אָרִיס II. Y. Bicc. I, end, 64ᵇ ח׳ לשעה a tenant for a fixed term, ח׳ לעולם a permanent tenant (on ground rent). B. Ib. 4 (105ᵃ) הואיל ואני נותן לך חֲכִירְךָ (Y. ed. חֲכוּרְךָ, Mish. חֲכוּרָהּ) as long as I give thee thy rent (Mish.: the rent for it).
