Ib. 42ᵇ (when the wine of Judæa could only be soured by an admixture of barley) היו קורין אותו ח׳ סתם וכ׳ they called it plain vinegar, and now … they call it Edomite (Roman, Cæsarean) vinegar (to distinguish it from pure vine vinegar).
