חוֹמֶס, (a corruption of ἡμισάβανον) a half-size sabanum, linen cloth. Gitt. 59ᵃ (sent to Rabbi) סובני וח׳ סובני וכ׳ Ar. (ed. סיבני וח׳ only) a full-size sabanum and a half-size, which were compressed to the respective sizes of a nut and half a nut.
