זֵיוְתָן, (fr. זִיוָה, fem. form of זִיו, formed like גֵּיוְתָן) bright, distinguished, noble. constr. זֵיוְתָנֵי. R. Hash. 11ᵃ (play on זִו, I Kings VI, 1) שבו נבראו ז׳ עולם for in that month were created the nobles of the world (the patriarchs).
