הַגָּדָה, הֲגָדָה f. (נגד) 1) telling, communication, evidence. Snh. 30ᵇ (ref. to Lev. V, 1) מקשינן ה׳ לראייה the laws regulating the witnessing of the act must also apply to the evidence before court (that the two witnesses must be together). —2) (v. אֲגָדָה) homiletics, popular lecture, opp. to הֲלָכָה legal interpretation.
