דֵּעָה דֵּעָה, knowledge, understanding, reason; view; taste. Snh. 92ᵃ אדם שיש בו ד׳ a man that has obtained knowledge. Lev. R. s. 1 (prov.) ד׳ קנית וכ׳ if thou hast acquired knowledge, what doest thou lack? &c.—Cant. R. to IV, 3 ד׳ סרוחה של וכ׳ the corrupt mind of, i.e. the fool, Ahasver; a. v. fr.—Pl. דֵּעוֹת, דֵּיעוֹת (used also in Chald. phrases). Shebu. 42ᵃ אזלינן בתר רוב ד׳ we are guided by the majority of opinions; Yoma 83ᵃ; Tem. 27ᵇ בתר ד׳ אזלינן.
