גַּרְגּוּתְנִי
  1. גַּרְגּוּתְנִי, (גַּרְגַּתְנִי Ar.) f. (v. גּוּרְגָּא)
  2. גַּרְגּוּתְנִי, a wicker or net work in the wine or oil press. Ab. Zar. 56ᵇ החזיר ג׳ לגת if he placed the net (once used) back into the vat. Ḥag. 22ᵇ גורג׳ some ed.; Tosef. ib. III, 4. Lev. R. s. 22 he gathered the vessels of the Temple ונתנן לתוך ג׳ and placed them in a net; Gitt. 56ᵇ he took the curtain ועשאו כמין ג׳ and shaped it like &c. Tosef. Kel. B. Mets. VI, 5.
  3. גַּרְגּוּתְנִי, (from its shrivelled surface) the scarry and lifeless surface of a healed up wound, eschar. B. Kam. 85ᵃ העלתה מכתו ג׳ if, through neglect of medical advice, the wound became scabby; Y. ib. 6ᵇ bot. [read:] עלתה בו ג׳.
