גּוֹמֶד, gomed, a length-measure, supposed to be the cubit less the hand’s length; arm. [Arakh. 11ᵃ וגָמְדָּהּ אמה Ar. and the arm of the scraper was one cubit, contrad. to היא itself, i.e. the perpendicular part; ed. וגובה.]—Pl. גְּמָדִים, גּוֹמָדִין. B. Bath. 100ᵃ שני גמ׳ ed. (Ms. M. a. Ar. גו׳).
