R. s. 2 (play on ודגלו, Cant. l. c.) וגוֹדְלוֹ עלי אהבה even his (the child’s) elevating himself over Me (by putting his finger on the Divine Name) is (a token of) love; (Tanḥ. B’midb. 10 ודגלו; ed. Bub. ib. note וגִידּוּלוֹ Ms. R.).
גּוֹדֶל, pile.—Pl. גּוֹדְלִין. Y. B. Mets. II, beg. 8ᵇ עשויין ג׳ (coins found) piled up (assorted according to their sizes, pyramid-like; Bab. B. Mets. 25ᵃ כמִגְדָּלִין).
