    Ithpe. - אִיתְבְּסַם , contr. אִיבְּסִים 1) to be sweet, well-seasoned, prepared. Targ. Job XXIV, 20. Targ. Y. Ex. XXX, 25 מִתְבַּשֵּׂם; a. e. —2) to be embalmed. Targ. Y. Gen. L, 3. —3) to be cheerful, feel the wine; cmp. בְּלוּזְמָא. Snh. 38ᵃ כיון דאִיבְּסוּם when they were feeling the wine. Sabb. 66ᵇ. B. Bath. 73ᵇ bot.—Meg. 7ᵇ מיחייב אינש לִבְּסוּמֵי וכ׳ (= לאיבסומי, v.
