אֲסִיפָה
  1. אֲסִיפָה, gathering, assembly. Y. Taan. I, 64ᶜ top אֲסִיפַת עם public meeting for fasting ceremonies. Gen. R. s. 98 ye shall be א׳ אחת one (unanimous) assembly.
  2. אֲסִיפָה, = אָסִיף. Ḥag. 18ᵃ חג הבא בזמן א׳ the festival that falls in the harvest season. Ib. א׳ ביו"ט מי שרי Ms. M. (ed. less correct מלאכה) is harvesting permitted &c.?, a. e.
  3. אֲסִיפָה, (ref. to Num. XI, 22) the mere taking into the house for consumption, without the ritual slaughtering (שחיטה). Ḥull. 27ᵇ. Num. R. s. 19.—4) being gathered in, death, use of the verb אסף with reference to death. Ib. אֲסִיפַת אהרן the death of Aaron (Num. XX, 24). B. Bath. 16ᵇ גויעה וא׳ the use of גוע a. אסף.
