שְׁתֵק שְׁתֵק, שְׁתֵיק ch., with prefixed א: אִשְׁתּיק, אִישְׁ׳ same, 1) to be silent. Targ. Lev. X, 3. Targ. Job XIII, 5 מִשְׁתַּק תִּשְׁתְּקוּן (ed. Lag. מִשְׁתּוֹק; Ms. מַשְׁתּוֹקי Af.). Targ.
