שְׁלֹמֹה, (b. h.) pr. n. m. Solomon, king of Israel. Ber. 10ᵃ כנגד מי אמר ש׳ וכ׳ with reference to whom did Solomon say that verse (Prov. XXXI, 26)? Snh. 20ᵇ בתחלה מלך ש׳ על העליונים וכ׳ Solomon ruled first over those on high &c. Y. ib. II, 20ᶜ ירד מלאך … ש׳ וכ׳ an angel came down in the image of S. and made him rise from his throne &c.; Koh. R. to II, 2. Pes. 36ᵇ אפי׳ כמצות של ש׳ even unleavened cakes like those of Solomon (of the finest flour) may be used on the Passover; Y. ib. II, 29ᵇ bot. מצה שלמה (insert של, or read: מַצַּת).
