רִיחוּף, (רָחַף) hovering, brooding, use of the verb רָחַף. Y. Ḥag. II, 77ᵇ top מה ר׳ שנאמר להלן וכ׳ as the hovering mentioned there (Deut. XXXII, 11) means touching and yet not touching (not pressing), so does the hovering mentioned here (Gen. I, 2) &c.
