קְצוּפָה, (קָצַף) visitation by divine anger, death; בית ק׳ house of mourning. Cant. R. to VIII, 5 (ref. to הקצפתם, Deut. IX, 8) עשיתם … לבית אבלה בית ק׳ you caused the Lord, as it were, to be a mourner for you; there are places where they call the house of mourning beth ḳ’tsufah (v. P. Sm. 3706 s. v. קצף).—V. קִצְפָּא.
