קָצוֹעַ, pl. קָצוֹעוֹת (קָצַע) those who cut down trees for war purposes, sappers. Y. Ned. III, 38ᵃ ראה ק׳ המלך וכ׳ (not קצי׳) if he saw the king’s sappers come (to raze plantations).
