קְלַשׁ קְלַשׁ, (cmp. קלף) to plane, make thin, weaken. Erub. 3ᵃ אמרינן קְלוֹשׁ we say, plane it, i.e. consider it reduced to a fine film. Ib. אי קַלְשַׁה if thou makest it very thin. Ned. 68ᵃ מִיקְלַשׁ קָלֵישׁ does he plane (weaken) it?, v. גּוּז ch.—Part. pass. קָלִישׁ, קְלִישָׁא; f. קְלִישָׁא, קְלִישְׁתָּא thin, weak. Targ. Y. Num. VII, 13 (ed. Vien. קַלִּישָׁא); ib. 19 (opp. סמיך); a. e.—Taan. 9ᵇ עיבא ק׳ a light cloud, opp. סמיכתא. Sot. 34ᵇ איידי דק׳ ארעא because the layer of earth (over the rocky soil) is very light. Yeb. 113ᵃ bot. דעתא ק׳ וכ׳ his reason is weak, but it is doubtful whether it is equally clear &c., v. צִילָא; ib. 113ᵇ.
