  1. קִיץ, קוּץ, Hif. הֵקִיץ (b. h.) [to stir,]

  3. קִיץ, to awaken. Num. R. s. 10 היו מתיראים לַהֲקִיצוֹ they were afraid to wake him (Solomon) up; והלכה היא והֱקִיצַתּוֹ וכ׳ but she (Bethsheba) went and waked him up and rebuked him. Yalk.
