קִיבּוּל קִיבּוּל, קִבּ׳ m. (קָבַל I) 1) taking, catching. Sifré Num. 129 (ref. to Num. XIX, 18) אשר היו שם בשעת ק׳ טומאה ‘which had been there’ at the time of catching the uncleanness. —2) receiving. Zeb. V, 1 ק׳ דמן וכ׳ their blood must be received in a consecrated vessel (v. שָׁרֵת). Ib. I, 4 (13ᵃ) הזבח נפסל … בק׳ וכ׳ the sacrifice becomes unfit through wrong intentions in one of four acts, in slaughtering, receiving (the blood) &c.; a. fr.—כלי ק׳, בית ק׳ (or sub. כלי) a receptacle, opp. פָּשׁוּט. Bets. II, 9 משום כלי ק׳ is susceptible of uncleanness, because it is a receptacle. Tosef. Kel. B. Bath. VI, 1, v. פָּשׁוּט. Kel. XVII, 16. Sabb. 84ᵃ; a. fr. —3) acceptance. Sifré Num. 115; Yalk.
