קִבְעָא, קִי׳, appointment, fixed time or place. Pes. 101ᵇ לק׳ קמא הדר (some ed. לקִיבְעֵיה) he goes back (refers in his mind) to his first appointed place for the meal. Zeb. 7ᵇ top מק׳ לא מכפרא וכ׳ a dedicated sin-offering does not effect pardon (for a sin of commission) directly by its dedication, but only by implication (when going along with a sin of omission). Ib. 6ᵃ מק׳ לא מכפרא וכ׳ it (the designated meal offering left to heirs) has its pardoning effect not through appointment (as if the heirs had a share in it) but merely by implication, v. קְבִיעוּתָא.
