צְרַח II (interch. with צְרֵי, צְרַהּ) to be narrow; צ׳ ל־ to worry; to be sorry, be afraid. Gen. R. s. 91 צ׳ ליה וערק (not צרת) he was afraid, and fled. Ib. וצ׳ לי מינך וכ׳ and I was afraid of thee, lest thou kill me. Y. Ber. I, beg. 2ᵃ דצרי לון מקמי וכ׳ (ed. דצדי, corr. acc.) they are afraid of wild beasts. Esth. R. to I, 22; Lev. R. s. 12 דצ׳ לי וכ׳ (not דצדי), v. נָטוֹרָא.
    Ithpe. - אִיצְּרַח (אִיצְּרַהּ), אִיצְּרֵי same. Gen. R. l. c. ומִיצְּרַח לי מינה דלא שאלתיו (some ed. ומִיצְּרַהּ) and I am sorry that I did not ask it; Y. Ber. VII, 11ᵇ ומִיצְּרֵי לי מינך לא שלתיה (read: מינה דלא וכ׳); Yalk. Gen. 148 וצרו לי מינך לאו וכ׳ (read: וצרי, a. corr. acc.; v. Rashi to Ber. 48ᵃ).
