צָנוּעַ, retired, discreet, chaste, decorous. Nidd. 12ᵃ כל … נקרא צ׳ he who fulfils the words of the scholars is called discreet (pious). Y. Dem. VI, 25ᵈ top (ref. to צְנוּעֵי Mish. Dem.
