צְוֵי II, (v. S. Sm. 3370) [to contract,] to be hot, dry up, wither. Pes. 56ᵃ צָאוֵי לאלתר ed. (Ar. צָוֵוי) it will at once dry up. Ib. 110ᵇ פקע וצווא דיקלא Ar. (ed. צווח דיקלא ופקע הוא, Ms. M. צְוָה) the bark burst, and the palm dried up. Ib. 111ᵃ וצְווּ כרעיה his legs shrivelled.
