צֶדַע, ; pl. צְדָעִים (cmp. צַד) temples. Sifra K’dosh., Par. 3, ch. VI (expl. פאת ראשכם, Lev. XIX, 27) אילו הם הצ׳ מיכן וכ׳ that means the temples on both sides; Macc. 20ᵇ זה המשוה צְדָעָיו וכ׳ he who makes his temples as hairless as the spot back of his ears &c. Nidd. 30ᵇ ידיו על שני צדעיו its (the embryo’s) hands rest on its two temples; Lev. R. s. 14. Ned. 49ᵇ צִידְעַי, v. חֲגַר; a. e.
