Bath. 99ᵃ, quot. in preced.).—Sabb. 102ᵇ תתאה בעי צַדּוּדֵי וכ׳ Ms. M. (ed. תתא) to place the lowest stone it is necessary to make room for it in the ground and surround it with earth (v. preced.). Yoma 37ᵃ דמְצַדֵּד אַצְדּוּדֵי (Rashi דמִיצֵּדּד, Ithpa.) he turns sideways. B. Bath. 99ᵃ דמְצַדְּדֵי אצדודי they (the Cherubim) were turned sideways (so as to face both the house and each other).
