VI (VII), 9 אל תַּפְשִׁיל ידך לאחוריך וכ׳ do not twist thy hands on thy back, lest we be prevented from work (a superstitious belief); Yalk. Lev. 587.—Esp. ה׳ לאחוריוto twist or knot a bundle and throw it over one’s shoulder. Succ. 27ᵇ טליתו וכ׳ … ה׳ R. El. tied up his cloak and threw it over his back and went off; Tosef. ib.
