פַּרְהֲגַבְנָא פַּרְהֲגַבְנָא, (a Babylonian corrupt. of parangaria, v. פַּרְהַנְגַּרְיָא) the office of public service, sub. בעל the suprintendent of public labors, in gen. tax collector. B. Kam. 117ᵃ מסרה לפרהגב׳ דמלכא Ms. M. (ed. פַּרְהַגְנָא; Ms. H. פרהגמוניא; Ms. R. פַּרְהַנְגָּא; v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) he surrendered it (the object of litigation) to the royal office (or officer, for confiscation). Erub. 36ᵇ הא בפ׳ וכ׳ (ed. Sonc. בפרח גבאני דמלכא, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 100; Rashi בפרהגבני) in the one case the officer of public service is meant (by נכרים), in the other, the town officers. B. Mets. 83ᵇ אשכח לההוא פ׳ דמלכא וכ׳ Ms. M.
