פּוּרְמָא, (פָּרַם) piece of cloth, rag used as a mask, bandage over the eyes. Tanḥ. Mishp. 19 פ׳ בפניהם כגון חמורים וכ׳ they (the demons) have a mask over their faces like the millers’ asses; וכשהעונות גורמין הפ׳ נגלה וכ׳ and when man’s sins bring it about, the mask is removed, and man becomes insane; Yalk.
