פּוֹרָא, = פֵּירָא, fruit.—Pl. פּוֹרַיָּא, פּוֹרִין, פּוֹרֵי. Ruth R. introd. (ref. to תפיל, Prov. XIX, 15) כמד"א נפל שעריהון דפ׳ as you say, the price of fruits has fallen (meaning, fruits are plentiful). Y. Taan. III, 66ᵈ top איתון חמון פ׳ דשמש come and see the fruits of the sun (of a hot and dry year). Gen. R. s. 71 (ref. to עיניו Job XXXVI, 7) כאינש דאמר עיניהון דפוֹרַיָּה (not עינוהי) as a man says, the eyes (prospects) of the fruits (hopes of success; Midr. Sam. ch.
