סָפְדָּא, (preced.) mourner, wailer.—Pl. סָפְדַּיָּא. Targ. Koh. XII, 5 (some ed. סוֹפְדַיָּא). Targ. Y. Lev. XIII, 45 ועל ס׳ יהוי מהלך (not ספריא) and he shall go around to the wailers (v. M. Kat. 5ᵃ).
