סוּד סוּד, [cmp. זוּד, to boil, fr. which סִיד lime; denom. סוּד or סִיד (b. h. שִׂיד),] to plaster, whitewash. Sot. VII, 5 סָדוּהוּ בסיד they whitewashed it (the altar) with lime. Ib. 35ᵇ. Tosef. Sot. XV, 9 שלא יָסוּד אדם וכ׳ that a person must not plaster his rooms &c. Tosef. B. Bath. II, 17; B.
