סָגָן, v. סְגֵי I; cmp. רַב) grandee, chief, viceroy. Midr. Till. to Ps. CXIX, 134 כלי … אין לס׳ רשות וכ׳ the viceroy is not permitted to use a vessel which the king has used.—[Num. R. s. 15; Tanḥ.
