נִיסַּאי, (v. נֵס) Mount Nissay (Miracle), a substitute for Sinai, introduced for argument. Sabb. 89ᵃ (against one explaining הר סֹינֹי as הר שנעשו בו נ̇יס̇ים, the mount whereon miracles were wrought for Israel) הר נ׳ מיבעי ליה then its name ought to have been Har Nissay; v. סִימָנַאי.
