נִזְיָיתָא, (cmp. זוּעַ, a. זֵיתָא I, II) beer in the process of brewing, brewage. Ab. Zar. 31ᵇ. Pes. 20ᵃ וסימנך נ׳ and the mnemonical word (for remembering the order of the objects named) is the brewing process (‘vessel’, ‘eatable’ (dates), ‘liquid’). Ib. 113ᵃ לבי נ׳ רהוט Ar. a. Ms. M. 2 (ed. סודנא) run to the brewery, v. חֲלוּז. Succ. 20ᵇ חזו לנִזְיָאתָא they (the mats) are fit for covering up the brewing vat. Keth. 6ᵃ, a. e., v. מְסוֹכְרָיָא. B. Kam. 35ᵃ פתקיה (פסקיה) לנ׳ וכ׳ (= לבי נ׳) he burst the vat open and drank the beer, and was cured.
