נוני, נִוְנֶה (= נונו = נענע, v. preced.; cmp. צִוְצֵי, s. v. צָוַץ) to be tender, delicate.
    Hithpalp. - הִתְנַוְנֶה,
    Nithpa. - נִתְנַוְנֶה to become delicate, be failing, to fall away. B. Kam. 91ᵃ אמדוהו והיה מִתְנַוְנֶה והולך (Ms. M. מִתְנַוְונֶה; ed. Sonc. מִתְנַוֶּה) if the experts declared his injuries as curable (and the court assessed the damages accordingly), but he continues to be falling away. Ḥull. 57ᵇ מִתְנַוְונָה והולכת (Tosef. ib. III, 9 מכחשת) if the animal loses flesh, opp. משבחת. Sot. III, 5; ib. 6ᵃ מתנוונא (corr. acc.). Ib. 26ᵃ במתנונה דרך איברים when she is ailing all over the body (not suffering locally as predicted for the faithless woman, Num. V, 27); Y. ib. III, 19ᵃ bot. המִתְנַוָּוה.
