נָגַס, to break off; to bite off. Ukts. II, 6 עד שיִגּוֹס until he has knocked off (a piece of the eggshell). T’bul Yom III, 6 שנגס מן האוכל וכ׳ (not שנגוס) who took a bite of some food, and something mixed with his saliva fell on his garments.
