מִצְמֵץ, (v. מָצַץ) to squeeze, suck, sip. Y. Ter. XI, 47ᵈ bot. במחוסרים למַצְמֵץ when they are too poor to be sucked out. Y. B. Mets. VII, beg. 11ᵇ שלא יקלף בתאנים וִימַצְמֵץ בענבים he must not peel (taste the surface of) the figs or take a suck of the grapes (and throw them away); Y. Maasr. II, 50ᵃ bot. ומצמץ (read: ומְמַצְמֵץ).
